The person involved may report the issue to the university; however, if that person has some further considerations, he or she may ask a faculty member or friend to expose the wrongdoing.
If the perpetrators are students, the Gender Equality Education Committee will contact his/her institution and convene a mutual committee for investigation. If the perpetrators are not students, the Gender Equality Education Committee will provide information on counseling and relevant laws to the victim. The victim can also ask for legal assistance. The victim has a 6-month statute of limitations and can report to the legal entity during this period. Sexual assault is an indictable offense and the legal entity will handle this issue appropriately.

If the person involved does not want to report it himself/herself due to some considerations, he or she may ask a legal guardian or another person who knows this issue to expose the wrongdoing, and submit a written document to this committee for investigation.
To protect students’ right to education, the institution will submit a report to the Faculty Hiring and Promotion Committee for review within a month from the date of being notified. The case will be dealt with in accordance with Article 14 Clause 8 and 9 of Faculty Employment Law. A crisis committee will be established to deal with relevant rights for students, including course adjustment for reducing the opportunities for interaction between the parties and provide counseling as well as legal resources.
Q：Can a graduate ask the institution for assistance in dealing with sexual incidents while he/she was still a student?
Sure, if both parties were under the jurisdiction of the Gender Equality Education Acts (institutional administrators, faculty and staff members, labors and students) while the sexual issued happened, no matter whether the applicants are students or graduates, there is no limitation on application time. All the cases will be investigated in accordance with Gender Equality Education Act.
(Legal supplement: In accordance with Article 28 Clause 2 in Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying on Campus, the investigation procedure in the preceding paragraph shall not be suspended due to the offender’s loss of his or her status at any point of the procedure.)
