Executive Yuan's Diversity and Gender Equality Seed Training Materials<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Following the implementation of the Judicial Yuan's Interpretation No. 748 and the Enforcement Act for Same-Sex Marriage starting from May 24, 2019, the Executive Yuan has prioritized \"promoting public awareness and acceptance of diverse genders and family structures (including same-sex marriage)\" as a key gender issue with the goal of \"eliminating gender stereotypes and biases.\"<\/p>\n

In line with recommendations from international committees on the two Covenants and the CEDAW Convention urging the government to \"continue efforts to advocate, protect, and ensure respect for the rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender individuals, and intersex persons (LGBTI),\" the Department of Gender Equality invited experts in relevant fields to compile \"Diversity and Gender Equality Education Training Materials\", among other topics, in a total of five articles, intended to serve as a reference for government agencies in planning and conducting training for their staff.<\/p>\n
